Receptionist/Customer Service Representative Trainee

Position Objective:
Taylor Insurance Agency of Evart, Michigan is growing and seeks a career-oriented professional to join our team. Position best suits individual who is upbeat, passionate about serving customers, taking on challenges, attentive to detail, excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Receptionist/Customer Service Representative Trainee is a dual role within our organization. Receptionist is considered the director of first impressions, greeting clients and answering phone calls with a smile. This is an entry level position with an opportunity to also assist and develop as a Customer Service Representative Trainee assisting our staff and clients. Insurance experience is not necessary, we will train the right person. Obtaining a Michigan Property & Casualty insurance license will be required within 3 months of hire.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for answering main line office phone and directing calls appropriately.
• Greeting and assisting walk-in clients.
• Assist clients in making coverage changes per agency standards and system documentation.
• Verify, process and prepare for delivery new and renewal policies per agency established guidelines.
• Handles all incoming mail and Fax messages.
• Provide proposals as requested for current and prospective clients.
• Monitor carrier websites activity daily and attach documents in agency management system.
• Scan and attach documents in agency management system, using appropriate codes/attachment categories.
• Submit auto and home claims to insurance carrier.

• Possesses basic computer knowledge and skills.

• Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
